Founded in 1961, Southwest Products was originally owned by Harry Hanish. At the time, SWP was primarily a supplier of custom lubricants and air filtration products. Our scope of business has drastically expanded over the years. 1976 sparked our introduction into the industrial engine business with the distribution appointment of the Wisconsin engine line. At this time, SWP also began building portable lube trucks in-house spurred by the distribution of lubrication equipment. Hanco Generating Systems, a manufacturing division of SWP, was developed in 1980 after acquiring the Hercules engine line. SWP has been under the current ownership and management since 1981 and has continued to grow and re-define itself as a leader in the industrial engine and custom equipment business.
