In 2005, SWP joined the worlds top manufacturing companies such as Caterpillar, Motorola, DuPont and many more by deploying 6 Sigma throughout our organization. Put simply, 6 Sigma is the relentless quest for perfection through the disciplined use of fact-based, data-driven decision making. The 6 sigma process focuses on reducing the variations in a company process for delivering goods and/or services to customers thereby reducing or eliminating defects, increasing quality, and, most importantly increasing customer satisfaction. SWP has relentlessly pursued 6 Sigma over the past few years in an effort to improve all of our business practices from manufacturing, to order fulfillment, to product marketing, to business communications. 6 Sigma aids in the further development of our employees and assists in helping to maintain our status as a premier manufacturer and distributor of industrial products. SWP is fully engaged in using all 6 Sigma practices to install improvements that have already begun to make a positive impact for our suppliers, customers, employees, business partners and community.
